2017 I was assaulted on a night out in London. Hit from behind by a coward.
I was knocked out and hit my head on a kirb on the way down.

I was in a coma for 4 days and had a mini stroke. I woke up totally paralysed on my left side to start with, I had to learn how to walk / talk / eat / swallow again. It’s taken a while but long story short my left side is still weak but I don’t let it get to me anymore. I work out religiously and take part in strongman events now.

I struggled quite badly mentally with anxiety / depression /anger issues since. It’s still a daily struggle at times but I have 4 fantastic kids and a fiancé that help me through the dark days. Please use my hospital pic and my most recent deadlift pic as a beacon of hope for anyone just starting their recovery! It’s not a death sentence! You can conquer it!
